Palazzo Gattini Luxury Hotel - VRetreats

Our stay at Palazzo Gattini in Matera was simply exceptional! The city itself was a delightful surprise, and we enjoyed every moment. The hotel welcomed us with warmth, kindness, and professionalism. The breakfast was fantastic, and we are especially grateful to Clara, who greeted us with a smile every morning. The front desk staff was always helpful, and a special thank you to Carmen, who assisted us with every request. She also recommended Andrea, who gave us a wonderful tuk-tuk tour of the city at sunset. The shuttle service was convenient, and the hotel's location was absolutely perfect, offering easy access to everything. As a five-star hotel, it certainly lived up to its reputation, and we had an amazing time. Highly recommended!

The most striking thing is that we got a (double) upgrade to a room with a beautifull terrace and jacuzzi overviewing the Sassi. The hotel is perfectly located in the centre and located in a old palace. It has a nice terrace for dinner and drinks with beautiful view. The staff is amazing. The only thing is that the hotel is located in the centre of the historical and car-free area. We arrived by car and we had to park the car in a sister hotel and were neatly transported with a van from and to the hotel. Unfortunatey the GPS of the car brought us into the car-free zone of Matera :(

The property is luxurious and the views from the garden terrace are one of the best in Matera. There are beautiful architectural highlights around every corner. Stunning!

We love the amazing architecture of the hotel. You truly felt like you were living in a Paso. Both rooms were over the top though we had divided opinions about weather the Roman bath was entirely necessary. The staff were very helpful and the location is terrific.

One of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed at. Location, breakfast, staff all top rate . And the bonus of a daily spa visit!!!
